That uncertainty is the gap nobody is closing.
I’ve stood on hundreds of stages in front of thousands of executives over the past few years, and the pattern is consistent.
The audience watches the AI demo. Jaws drop. Applause follows. Then people go home and do exactly what they did before.
That is futurist theatre. And the industry is full of it.
A brilliantly produced demo of an AI agent behaving like a human is extraordinary.
But it is not enough.
