The Digitally Curious Investor: Why AI Will Reshape Financial Advice Faster Than the Industry Expects

The Boring Money Insights annual conference is taking a look at the huge change created by both regulation and tech.

Futurist and AI expert, Andrew Grill who will share a ‘dare to dream moment’.

Drawing on Boring Money’s own data on the AI adoption gap (their latest data shows increased activity with £1m + advised clients) , he’ll outline where consumers are right now.

He’ll cover the current ‘era of validation’, and explain which areas of financial advice will be taken over by AI, and which will stay human. I’ve asked Andrew to consider parallels with health.

As he puts it, “it’s another heavily regulated, high-stakes sector where people assume something’s too important for AI, right up until they use it anyway…”

He’ll also look ahead to how agentic AI will shift from tool to trusted agent, before wrapping up with his view on what firms need to fix now: the four blockers to adoption (training, investment, data and process), and the rise of AI-driven discovery, which is already changing how customers find providers.
