In 2015, social media is no longer a “nice to have” for travel brands. Social is becoming intertwined in the traveller’s experience using multiple networks, and their default go-to for advice about their next destination. The rise of visual networks such as Instagram and Pinterest afford new opportunities for brands to become deeply involved with a traveller’s entire experience, from planning, to destination.
