While there are many “metaversal” activities underway, we’re a few years off from seeing a truly interoperable environment that was depicted in 1992 science fiction novel Snow Crash written by Neal Stephenson or the 2018 film “Ready Player One” no matter how hard Meta tells you that we’re here already.

So what about Cryptocurrencies, NFTs and Blockchain?

 

NFTs seem to have become an interesting fad, and a bit of a distraction as we try and understand why people would pay tens of thousands, sometimes millions for an asset that doesn’t really exist.

Blockchain – also called distributed ledger technology has huge promise in the corporate world, so it is important that you understand the fundamentals of the technology and also what it can, and, more importantly cannot do.

So the question becomes, do you have a Web3 strategy, and do you need one?
