Posted from Barcelona Airport – on the way back from Mobile World Congress.

Logged onto the Kubi WiFi access point in the airport.  Before connecing via my BT OpenZone roaming account, I thought I’d check the roaming charges – on Kubi access is 12.7p per minute!  That’s  £7.62 per hour!

In contrast, my Vodafone data card is just £8.50 for 50MB in a 24 hour period.  As I have 2+ hours to wait at the airport –  out came the data card – a no brainer!

It was however interesting to read Arun Sarin’s comments from Mobile World congress on data roaming charges Vodafone rejects EU call for caps on data roaming charges
