With the rise of co-working spaces and private member’s clubs, where do people go to work when they need a clear place to think, or a break from the day-to-day of your work environment?

I read in the FT that private club Soho House – who now have a global network of clubs has a membership of 70,000 worldwide with revenues of nearly £300M but claim that the company “remains unprofitable”.

Speaking to a number of my friends in the serviced office space, they tell me that WeWork is having a massive impact in cities such as New York and London and forcing existing players to offer more co-working spaces with “funky” culture to compete.

Personally, I worked out of Starbucks early in my start-up career and around 8 years ago I joined The Hospital Club in London’s Covent Garden. I take most of my client meetings there – it is a different space than an office and provides a great talking point. So where do you work when you need to think or get creative with your team?
