Some feedback from Andrew’s talk

In September 2013 the UK Sourcers community presents Discover Sourcing – bringing together some of the world’s best Sourcing minds for a large, dedicated sourcing event in the United Kingdom.

The event is aimed at recruiting professionals from across Europe, from both In-house Recruitment teams and Executive Search firms.

More on the event on the event website.

Discover Sourcing will consist of a workshop afternoon for active sourcers and recruiters that want to push their sourcing skills and discover more. The following conference day for everyone with an interest in Recruitment and Sourcing will ensure that those new to sourcing can discover what it’s all about and the more experienced practitioners can delve deeper into their craft.

Day One will comprise of an afternoon workshop for up to 40 attendees to challenge their sourcing skills. This is aimed at working sourcers/researchers that would like to push themselves. We then hope to give the Day One workshop attendees the opportunity to network and socialise with the conference speakers in the evening.

Day Two’s conference will feature a main stage with six high profile speakers. Additional break-out streams on day two will also provide the opportunity for further learning.

The main themes for the event will be:

  • Telling the story of Sourcing
  • Practical sessions on sourcing & Internet search skills (at a basic and advanced level)
  • Exploring real life case studies
  • Discussing European sourcing challenges
  • Discovering social media for sourcing & intelligence gathering

With more than 10 proposed sessions to choose from, there will be something for attendees at all levels from Heads of Recruitment and seasoned sourcers to the inexperienced researcher.
