I am delighted to announce that Silvia Cambie joins IBM Social Consulting today.
Silvia joins a growing team of global practitioners with deep experience and expertise in social business. Having helped transform companies from to “doing social” to becoming a true social business, Silvia will help key IBM clients understand the huge business and people benefits from social.
I have known Silvia for some years, from when she was involved with the SMILE social business conferences in London, and I had the pleasure of speaking at one of the conferences she chaired. I am delighted that she has decided to join the Social Consulting team at IBM.
Her background includes financial journalism, reporting from Central and Eastern Europe, from a base in Prague in the early 1990s, for major German and British print media (including Euromoney and Handelsblatt), as well as external and internal communication for Brussels-based international trade associations.
She is a recognized public speaker and has addressed audiences worldwide including South Africa, Russia, Malaysia, Dubai, Chile, the US, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Spain, France and the UK. Silvia has lectured at the Sorbonne University (Paris), London Metropolitan University and San Sebastian University (Santiago, Chile).
Silvia is also the author of “International Communications Strategy – Developments in cross-cultural communications, PR and social media” published by Kogan Page.
She speaks five languages: English, German, French, Italian and Czech!
Silvia is part of a push at IBM to recruit our social business A team, and you can expect many more strategic hires such as Silvia to be announced very soon.
Silvia, welcome to IBM. I am so glad you decided to join the team!
